How to Arrange a Masonic Funeral
If any Masonic Lodge in the 18th Masonic District wishes Memorial Lodge No. 918 is available to assist them with a Masonic Funeral.,
If you are a Florida Mason, or the family of a Florida Mason, in Pinellas County who wishes to have a Masonic Funeral for a departed brother, you should first contact the Masonic Lodge of which the departed brother is a member and make the request known to them.
If you are a sojourning Mason or the family of a sojourning Mason and you desire a Masonic Service in Florida, you should first contact the Home Lodge of the departed brother, or the Grand Lodge in which the departed brother’s Home Lodge is located and advise them of the death of the brother. The departed brother’s Grand Lodge will then contact the Grand Lodge of Florida. Masonic protocol and tradition says Grand Lodges must communicate with one another prior to a Masonic Memorial Service and that communication may take a day or so.
If you desire a Masonic Service in the area of Pinellas County, you should advise the Grand Lodge of the departed brother and they will advise the Grand Lodge of Florida who will, in turn, contact Memorial Lodge No. 918. Memorial Lodge No. 918 will then be pleased to conduct a Masonic Memorial Service for the departed sojourning brother.
Memorial Lodge No. 918 can assist you with this Grand Lodge to Grand Lodge communication if you desire. Masonic protocol and tradition says Grand Lodges must communicate with one another prior to a Masonic Memorial Service and that communication may take a day or so.
